Classic Hip Hop Samples.

There are certain songs that feature hip hop samples that just represent the word classic in it’s purest form. Whether it’s UGK’s sample on “Int’l Players Anthem ” or the “All I Need” by Lee Fields sample featured on Travis Scott’s “Antidote”. But what is sampling? In music, sampling is the re-use of a portion (or sample) of a sound recording in another recording. Samples may comprise rhythm, melody, speech, or other sounds.
Hip Hop is a very unique culture and art movement, unlike any other music genre. Especially when the culture is made up of artists like Kanye West, who almost champions the use of samples in his own music.
I thought it would be cool to share some Rap/Hip Hop songs that are nicely constructed around a sample. Here’s 6 songs with samples that I think were executed pretty well as far as the use of the sample goes:

No this is not my top 5 list of All- Time. This is a pretty standard and straightforward list of songs that I think, in my opinion, utilized a great sample, carried a dope beat and was polished off with pretty decent lyrics.
What’s your favorite sampled songs?
Until Next Time.
